Leaving Hospital with your Baby

The time has come to bring your little one home, its so exciting to show them off and greet them with the rest of the family, usually before being discharged from the hospital a hearing test is conducted to ensure baby's hearing is ok

You will need to arrange someone to collect you in a car with a suitable car seat, the nurse must place the baby herself into the car seat before leaving the hospital

Arriving home with your little angel is an amazing feeling

Yes you are exhausted but happy to be home finally with your baby

Although a couple of days after giving birth its normal to feel a bit down and emotional (baby blues) this happens because your pregnancy hormones are now shifting back to normal and can make you feel quite emotional and overwhelmed it is important to be aware of these feelings and if they seem to be lasting longer than a week then you need to speak to someone as you may be suffering from post natal depression which is nothing to be ashamed of.

First night at home with baby.....

Can be quite exiting, throwing yourself into the roll of a mother/father promising to get up feed baby, change baby etc then 2 months down the line your not so enthusiastic to jump out of bed it is kind of a novelty at first that's why alot of people dont realise the consent demanding neverending task day after day and responsibility a child needs.

Its ok to need help most mothers will understand how hard and stressful but also wonderful it can be if your questioning if your a good mother then you most likely are because you wouldnt be thinking about it if you didn't want to be better.
